The Flu Virus
I've had so many questions about the flu virus I thought I would explain some steps you can take to protect yourself.
We have no protection against a virus. We do have the ability to maintain a strong immune system and eliminate things that may trigger an inappropriate immune response.
Lets go over what you CAN do.
1. Sugar; Eliminate sugar and simple carbohydrates. When sugar enters the WBC (white blood cell) it reduces phagocytosis. Phagocytosis is the WBC's job; to go around and stimulate other components of immunity to respond and attack pathogens: virus, bacteria, and cancer cells.
A blood sugar reading of 120mg/dL can reduce phagocytosis by 75%. Your immune system immediately slows to a crawl after ingesting sugar.
2. Allergens; We think of allergens as the cat or pollen. My main focus is food allergens. The foods you crave the most are probably the worst for you and should be the first things eliminated from your diet! Eliminating foods which create an inappropriate immune response will spare your immune system. Very common allergens are grains, soy, and dairy.
If your body is working on something else...it reduces the ability to provide enough immunity for a more serious threat.
3. Nutritious foods; Your immune system can only function on the raw materials you give it. You are what you eat applies to the immune system also. Eating quality foods is the basis for overall good health. Read the rest of the article...

Fibromyalgia
A recent client of mine has struggled with fibromyalgia for over 11 years. She could not work, was on disability, and didn't get out to activities and people she had once enjoyed. She felt isolated and the pain was constant. Pain medications didn't provide relief and she was becoming weaker and weaker.
